About Us

The Morton Family from Kamp for Kids

Personalized Approach

Formerly named USAI, Kamp for Kids was founded in 1997 as a family-owned business. In 2013 Kamp for Kids became a charitable organization and later a non-profit in 2018. Tim and Penni Morton direct Kamp for Kids and have been happily married for 22 years. There's never a dull moment with 5 kids and 4 grandchildren!

Tim & Penni are proud to have both received national certification with DBHIDS Department of Behavioral Health and Intellectual Disability Services. The Youth Mental Health First Aid program is designed for adults who regularly interact with young people to help them in both crisis and non-crisis situations.

Our Mission

At Kamp for Kids, we aim to help many different audiences from children at risk to children with Autism. Thousands of families are unable to send their children to camp because of the cost or lack of transportation. Kamp for Kids aims to help solve the financial and transportation struggles of families in need. There are things in life that every child should get the opportunity of experiencing, such as camps and events!

Our BELIEFS

We believe that no child be turned away from having the opportunity to go camping or another fun event. We believe that all kids are special and unique. That's why we've made it our life goal to help them attend camps, retreats, and more! We're able to achieve this through the sale of our delicious gourmet chocolate-covered pretzels!
